The Ugly Shirt

My boyfriend is going on a lads holiday to Zante and they're having an ugly shirt night. Unhappy with the tie-dye shirt I originally made him, I attempted to make another ugly shirt for him. With Parrots on.

 I cut up a work shirt that I didn't need anymore, ready to die. I wanted the sleeves and collar to be the ugliest brown ever and the main part of the shirt to be a deep amazon green.

Unfortunately, as many tie dyers will know, the colour doesn't take as well on man made fibres, so it came out a pale sicky kind of green, which is quite ugly.

 

And due to my boyfriend messing about with the colours, the brown I wanted on the sleeves came out a strange pale orange, but he was quite happy about how ugly the colours were.

After one whole day of fabric painting, (seriously, the parrots took me about four hours) and sewing it back together, (thanks to Janis) the ugly shirt was complete! Enjoy Zante you big puff.
